Mid-week Message
Greetings!
“But ask the animals, and they will teach you; the birds of the air, and they will tell you; ask the plants of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you.” - Job 12:7-8
The whole earth and all that is in it belongs to God. Each creature teaches us about the kingdom of God. They teach us about God’s sovereignty, and the harmony and interconnectedness of all living things that God intended from the foundations of the world. The hymn For the beauty of the earth (#434) reminds us to pay attention and learn from all of creation. You can read the lyrics below or listen to the hymn: https://youtu.be/hh4WlpxxUMo
For the beauty of the earth, for the beauty of the skies, for the love which from our birth over and around us lies, Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
For the beauty of each hour of the day and of the night, hill and vale, and tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light, Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
For each perfect gift of thine, to the earth so freely given, graces human and divine, flowers of earth and buds of heaven, Lord of all, to thee we raise this our hymn of grateful praise.
Grace and peace, Rev. Sarina
