As newlyweds, we lived in Pittsburgh, in an urban, predominantly Black neighbourhood. We attended a church whose mission was to bring racial reconciliation between Blacks and Whites in the city. Greetings! “Even youths will faint and be weary, and the young will fall exhausted; but those who wait for YHWH shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” - Isaiah 40:30 As time passes, it becomes more and more clear that we are in this pandemic for the long-haul. What this means is that we are living through an extended period of waiting. Thanks be to God that waiting is part of the Christian life.
