Sunday, January 17th:

This Sunday there are two worship services at Briarwood, our traditional service at 10:00 a.m. and our contemporary service at 11:30 a.m., with children's faith program and nursery at both, led by Mr. Paul Clarke, executive director of Action Refugiés Montréal. The scriptures are 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, Psalm 36:5-10 and John 2:1-11 - "Concerned about Gifts".

Search Committee Update:
We have placed the first of two display advertisements for the Minister's Vacancy, starting in the January edition of the "Presbyterian Record". As well, the position is listed on the Presbyterian Church of Canada website under the heading of Minister Vacancies. In addition, Briarwood's congregational profile can now be found on our website. The committee would like to thank all those who participated in the creation of this document. For your convenience, an electronic copy of this document is appended to this message, and paper copies will also be available in the narthex area beginning January 24th.

The committee meets monthly, and is now formally accepting applications for the position of Minister of Briarwood. The search committee kindly asks for your patience at this point of the process, as the search committee must rigorously respect the confidentiality of the applicants. Updates on the search process will be provided as we work through the process.

Malcolm Campbell, Briarwood Search Commitee Convenor
