Sunday, June 2nd: Two worship services at Briarwood - our traditional service at 10:00 am, and contemporary service at 11:30 am, with kids' faith program and nursery space at both. Thursday, May 23rd – Bible Study cancelled due to Sarina's laryngitis. Friday, May 17th – Youth Baking Event 7 - 9 pm at Briarwood - high school youth will bake goodies for Briarwood’s bake sale. Saturday, May 18th – BAKE/BOOK/PLANT/CRAFT SALE: Between 9 am - 1 pm come and enjoy a coffee and muffin, and shop to your heart’s content. Proceeds to support Briarwood’s general fund. Items being donated may be brought to the church on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday during office hours (9 am – 1:30 pm) or on Friday from 4 - 7 pm. Examen prayer

Here is information on the Examen prayer mentioned in Rev. Sarina's sermon on May 5th. In the Spirituality for Ordinary People podcast, Rev. Matt Brough quotes from chapter 1 of Jim Manney’s book "A Simple Life-Changing Prayer": “The examen is a method of reviewing your day in the presence of God.
