Saturday, June 3rd: Ladies’ breakfast at 9 am at Arcade Basile in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue (inside or outside, depending on the weather). Bring a friend! You can browse the farmers’ market afterwards. Sunday, June 4th - Pentecost: One blended worship service at Briarwood at 10:30 am, with ordination of elders. The Kids’ Worship Club will lead us in some worship songs. The scriptures are Numbers 11:24-30; Psalm 104:24-34, 35b; Acts 2:1-21 – Empowered by the Spirit. After the service, we will have our annual congregational picnic with games and races for all ages and prizes galore! Please bring a plate of sandwiches, a side-dish or a dessert. We will also have our 2nd annual Cookie Baking Contest

Sunday, May 28th: Two worship services at Briarwood -- our traditional service at 10 am and contemporary service at 11:30 am, with kids’ faith program and nursery space at both. The scriptures are Exodus 35:4 - 36:7, Psalm 113, and Mark 12:41-44 – Use your treasures to honor God. There will be a congregational meeting between the two services to elect elders to Briarwood’s Session. After the 11:30 service, there will be a final Kids’ Worship Club meeting. Don’t forget your instruments and your lunch!

Flood relief, and ways to help: Red Cross: Individuals who wish to provide financial support to those affected by the flood are welcome to make donations through the Red Cross. Community Shares have set up a special Neighbours Relief Fund, where 100% of all donations will be given to West Islanders affected by the floods. Volunteer with Samaritan’s Purse Resources for West Island Citizens Sunday, May 21: Two worship services at Briarwood – traditional service at 10:00 and contemporary service at 11:30 am, with kids’ faith program and nursery space at both. The scriptures are 1 Samuel 25; Psalm 112; Mark 12:35-40 – use your talents to honor God. Sacrament of Communion at the 10:00 service.

Friday, May 5th: Youth Group (grades 7-11) at 7 pm at the church. Saturday, May 6th: Spring clean-up at Briarwood from 9 am - noon. Bring your rakes. Children can help too! Sunday, May 7th: Two worship services at Briarwood – traditional service at 10:00 and contemporary service at 11:30 am, with kids’ faith program and nursery space at both. Rev. Sarina is on vacation this week, and we welcome The Rev. J.S.S. Armour to the pulpit. All are invited to the monthly potluck lunch after the 11:30 service. Kids’ Worship Club following the lunch (don’t forget your instruments!).
