Précis of March 2016 Session Meeting

At our March Session meeting, several ongoing items of discussion came to conclusion. We now have a clear distinction between responsibilities of Session itself, responsibilities of the Clerk of Session (of particular interest to me!!), and responsibilities of Committees of Session. We finalized the materials to be distributed for our call for Nominations for new Elders. We received and discussed reports from our various committees. We ensured that everything was in place for the AGM on March 13th. Dr. Roland De Vries, Director of Pastoral Studies at the Presbyterian College, and Briarwood's Interim Moderator. The scriptures are Isaiah 43:16-21; Psalm 126; John 12:1-8 - "More than She Realizes". After the service all are invited to stay for Briarwood's 57th Annual General Meeting, followed by lunch provided by the Board of Managers. Reminder: Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend.
