Minister
Rev. Dr. Gregory Davidson was called to Briarwood in January 2009. His focus is worship leading, pastoral care and spiritual leadership of the congregation. Greg has an M. Worship Leader, Second Service - Stevie Pemberton leads the first second service band with vocals and guitar. She has a strong background in drama, music and work in the church.
Church Administrator - Nancy Wojciechowski runs the church office, which is open Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 514-695-1879.
Nursery Worker - Maria Gardois is trained in first aid and staffs the newly renovated nursery for infants.
Ministers in Association
These are Presbyterian Ministers of Word and Sacrament who regularly attend Briarwood but are without a congregation Montreal, either because they are retired or minister in another area. They contribute ministry in the congregation through preaching, teaching and pastoral care.
Rev. Dr. Harry Kuntz was
baptized and confirmed in Livingstone Presbyterian Church Baden, ON., President of PYPS in Guelph Presbytery. Educated at Waterloo College (now WLU), Presbyterian College (graduated 1960), McGill, U of T, Concordia. Ordained May 1962 and inducted minister of Greenbriar Presbyterian Church, Brantford, and called to St. Columba-by the Lake, Pointe Claire, then taught Secondary School and was involved in educational administration with the Ministère de l'éducation and Conseil supérieur de l'éducation of the province of Quebec.
Rev. Prof. Joseph C. McLelland, born in Scotland, raised in Hamilton,ON, came to Montreal in 1957 after eight years in parish ministry. He taught philosophy of religion at Presbyterian College and McGill University for fifty years, writing more than twenty books in historical and philosophical theology. He was Dean of McGill's Faculty of Religious Studies 1975-85 and Moderator of the PCC 1985-86. He and Audrey have four children and seven grandchildren.
Rev. Dr. John A. Vissers is
principal of The Presbyterian College and Adjunct Professor of Christian Theology at McGill University. He has been an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church in Canada since 1981 and has served as pastor of three congregations, including historic Knox Church, Toronto. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Knox College, and Princeton Theological Seminary. John is married to Lynne McEwen and together they have three young adult children.
Director of Family Ministries - Judy Pemberton began work at Briarwood Presbyterian Church as the
Director of Family Ministries in February 2012. She comes with an extensive background in work with children and youth in school music programs and in churches.
